In the past, barrels were a popular way to store liquids. Today, the barrel serves a different purpose. Steel tanks have many advantages for storing liquids, so today the barrel is used specifically to give the wine a certain flavour note. Many of the barrels are used in several locations during their lifecycle, until they finally start their “second life” as a work of art at BarrelArt.
